ART SHOWS

With each exhibition, The Art Hunger invites you on a journey through a diverse tapestry of artistic expression, showcasing the vibrant talents of both emerging and established artists from our community and beyond.

One of our main goals is to support the economic development of the local artistic community.

We provide a platform for artists to showcase their work, create income from sales, and gain exposure that encourages them to continue producing art.

By fostering creativity and connection, we’re building a stronger, more vibrant arts community in Redding.

ARTIST OPPORTUNITIES

The Art Hunger is always on the lookout for talented artists to showcase their work as featured artist or in our group-themed exhibitions and events.

We welcome submissions from emerging and established artists alike, offering a platform to display your creativity and connect with the community.

We accept all mediums, including paintings, sculptures, photography, and multimedia works.

Submit your work and join us in celebrating the vibrant diversity of artistic expression!

FEATURED ARTIST

In 2026, The Art Hunger Gallery is introducing our Featured Artist Program.

This program offers a limited number of opportunities each year for artists to present a focused, cohesive body of work in a dedicated exhibition alongside our scheduled art shows.

Selection is based primarily on the strength, consistency, and clarity of an artist’s body of work, as well as their artistic vision and professional presentation.

Only a few Featured Artist slots are available, allowing us to give each selected artist meaningful visibility, curatorial attention, and promotional support. Artists considered for this program should demonstrate a clear artistic direction and a thoughtful approach to how their work is presented.

Interested artists must email a proposal. Submissions should include a strong portfolio, an artist bio and statement.

Our selection process reflects professional gallery standards, prioritizing artists who show commitment to their practice, consistency in their work, and readiness for a high-visibility exhibition opportunity.

*this is NOT a Solo Art Show opportunity.

If interested in a solo show, please visit the section for services we provide here

ARTIST CALLS

The Art Hunger regularly hosts open artist calls for our exhibitions, pop-up shows, and special projects throughout the year. These opportunities are open to artists working in a wide range of mediums and styles, with a strong emphasis on creativity, diversity, and community representation.

Our artist calls are designed to be accessible and inclusive, while still maintaining a thoughtful curatorial process. Each submission is reviewed by our curatorial team, and selections are based on how well the work aligns with the theme of the exhibition, the strength of the work, and how it contributes to a cohesive and engaging show.

We encourage artists at all stages of their careers to apply and to carefully follow the submission guidelines listed in each call. Artist calls are typically announced on our website and social media, with clear deadlines, requirements, and expectations. If selected, artists gain the opportunity to showcase their work in a professional gallery setting and be part of The Art Hunger’s ongoing mission to nurture and strengthen the local art scene.
